The plain-English terms that apply when you book an EPC with us.
Our service
We provide accredited domestic Energy Performance Certificates. Prices are fixed and confirmed before we visit — the price we say is the price you pay.
Same-day service
We complete 95% of our EPCs on the same day we visit — your certificate is uploaded to the Gov.uk register and emailed to you on the day of the assessment in the vast majority of cases.
Access & cancellations
We need reasonable access to the property, including the loft hatch, boiler and meters where possible. If you need to rearrange, just call us — we don't charge cancellation fees for reasonable notice. If we attend at the agreed time and cannot gain access, or the property is not in a state that allows the assessment to take place, the visit is still chargeable in full.
A safe & respectful environment
Our assessors have the right to carry out their work safely and to be treated with courtesy and respect. The property must provide a reasonable working environment for the duration of the visit — this means our staff must not be subjected to abusive, threatening, intimidating, discriminatory or otherwise inappropriate behaviour or conduct, or to unsafe or unsanitary conditions.
Terminated visits
If our assessor judges, in their reasonable discretion, that they cannot safely or comfortably continue an assessment — for any of the reasons above or similar circumstances — they may end the visit and leave the property immediately. In that event the full fee for the visit remains payable and is non-refundable, as our time, travel and booking slot have already been provided. We're always happy to rebook once the issue is resolved; a rebooked visit is charged as a new appointment.
Certificates
Certificates are lodged on the official national register and emailed to you the same day. They remain valid for 10 years.
