The basics

Do you even need an EPC?

You'll need a valid Energy Performance Certificate before you market a property for sale or to let. It rates the property from A to G and lasts 10 years, so you may already have one that's still valid.

For landlords, Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) mean most rented homes must reach at least an E rating. If you're not sure where you stand, give us a call — we'll talk it through and book you in if you need a fresh certificate.
